Ambient Design ArtRage
ArtRage is a painting package designed to provide a realistic and fun simulation of using paint on a canvas, along with pens, pencils, crayons, and other tools. You can run ArtRage on a normal Windows machine with a mouse, but it works particularly well if you have a graphics tablet. Even better, running ArtRage on a TabletPC takes advantage of the unique interaction of pen and screen to produce a realistic painting feel. ArtRage is all about playing with paint without the mess, and having fun in the process. You can paint your own image from a blank canvas to completed work, or load in a picture to trace and have the tools pick their colours for you as you paint over it.

BPaint is a free bitmap graphics program written in Blitz Basic. It’s non-system friendly (as a result of being written in BB) so bear that in mind when downloading!

This is a paint program... or at least it will be. It will be a clone of the Amiga version of the Electronic Arts' product, "Deluxe Paint", written by Daniel Silva. It will contain the functionality of Deluxe Paint 2, and some of the functionality of Deluxe Paint 3. There will be more documentation for this as soon as it actually does something.

Paint.NET
Paint.NET is image and photo manipulation software designed to be used on computers that run Windows XP or 2000. Paint.NET is jointly developed at Washington State University with additional help from Microsoft, and is meant to be a free replacement for the MS Paint software that comes with all Windows operating systems. The programming language used to create Paint.NET is C#, with GDI+ extensions. Paint.NET has many of the powerful features that expensive commercial applications have, including the ability to use layers. This is the second semester that Paint.NET has been
a project at Washington State University, and we have the goal of adding as much functionality as expensive commercial applications provide, but of course, for free! In
the spirit of all this freedom, we welcome any suggestions, as well as provide the source code free of charge for anyone who wishes to tinker with it. Please explore this website, download the software and try out many of the things you would do on those expensive commercial applications.

Sunset-Design GrafX2
It's a bitmap paint program for DOS (but you can run it from Windows) that allows you to draw in 60 video resolutions (from 320x200 to 1024x768, including most of the standard Amiga resolutions : 320x256, 320x512, 640x256, 640x512, etc...). This program is dedicated to everybody who knows what a single pixel is. Its layout is not very different from the famous Deluxe Paint or Brilliance, so it will be quite easy to handle it if you know at least one of these programs. If you aren't used to the art of drawing with up to 256 colors, it will be a little more difficult for you, but you should give it a try (or more, because most of the power of this program won't show up on the first try). Then, you might eventually like to draw the oldskool way with GrafX2.

Georges Halvadjian Perfect Paint
PerfectPaint is a freeware graphics paint program for Amiga . It supports 256 colors. plug-ins, and ARexx scripts which can be used with various different drawing effects.
